This odd looking photograph says a lot to me. Even though it is only a plant, it is a plant growing out of seemingly nothing. The brown around this plant signifies that life can grow from anything.
I enjoy watching how the plant seems to spread slightly across the ground as well as reach for the sky. It's as it it's trying to spread completely around all the cold dirt.
The fact that the area around the plant is not defined as anything exactly- for me it it difficult to tell the if it is dirt of some other surface- also symbolizes that the a plant can grow from anything anywhere.
This is a marvelous piece of work from a very talented photographer. I enjoyed it's stunningly beautiful simplicity.

Great work  I enjoy the simplicity of this, as it is often the simplest things that are the most moving and beautiful. Great angle and DoF, and I adore the muted colors. Great work sir ;)

Your words are very much appreciated! It's true, I find that the simple things are what really stand out as beautiful in life.
The DoF was hard to adjust at that angle because to press the camera up the monument like that, I could not get my head behind the viewfinder. But multiple trial and error works too.
Thank you muchly!

Nice to meet you! My name is Carl.
Basque Country sounds like a wonderful place. I looked it up on Wikipedia. haha Do you like it there?
I'm from California.
If you want, you can answer in Spanish. I know a little bit (since I'm from California), and the parts I don't understand I can translate.

well, I think the Basque Country have very beautiful places but the weather it's terrible! I live near the coast and it rains a lot.
I lived there all my live so I want to travel to other places.
When I was 16 years I went to the United States and I think it's really really wonderful! now I wish to return. I want to visit California!
it has to be beautiful
In California always makes sunny days as seen in the movies? haha :D

Well I have to practice Spanish too you know! :XD:
I don't mind rain. I like it most of the time. But I can imagine that it wouldn't be fun to live in rain all the time.
You should travel any chance you get! I went traveling in Europe this summer and it was fantastic. Traveling is one of the best educations you can receive. Better than any classroom.
Yes California is beautiful, and yes it is sunny all the time. It probably rains about 20 days of the year. The rest is hot and sunny.

Best crack I've ever seen ;) Bahaha, had to say it!

I love it, it's simple and creative. It takes the angle to brightens the idea that looking up to things makes the view much more worthwhile :D
