Digging

This picture is very well-done.
One of the aspects that is particularly striking is not only the capturing of a moment in time, but the placement of the surroundings. For instance, I like the fact that there is a good amount of sand below the boy in the picture which really enhances the whole aspect of him playing in a sandpit. Also the gradual blurring of the sand and the blurring of the background make the boy's features stick out all the more.
Also, I really like the color scheming. There really isn't a lot of bright colors that pop other than the blue in the playground but that helps to counteract the sharp "colors" of the boy's figure.
Not only do I love the expression of the boy's face and the particular position that you caught him in, but the lighting is perfect, especially in capturing that expression in the way that it does.
Overall, very well done.
